Effective October 2, 2026Applies to the Domane app and domane.ca

This policy explains how Domane handles information when you use the app, visit this website, contact us, or have an earlier waitlist signup.

The app is being prepared for release. App features and account controls described here apply when the app becomes available.

Information in the app

An account and completed profile are required for the app’s training features. Domane handles:

  • Account information, including an account identifier, email address, sign-in method, and email-verification status.
  • Profile information you provide, such as your name, date of birth, gender, height, preferred units, and time zone.
  • Your exercises, folders, saved workouts, routines, workout sessions, notes, performance history, body-weight entries, and body-phase records.
  • Progress photos you choose to save, and information needed to organize them by date.
  • Shared-plan links and import records when you use sharing.
  • Account-deletion requests, their status, and records needed to process and verify them.

Domane uses this information to provide your account, organize and record your training, show your own progress, synchronize supported account data, carry out your sharing choices, and protect the service.

On your device and in your account

Domane keeps a local copy of your training information so core workout features can work offline. Supported account information also synchronizes with Domane’s cloud services when connectivity and account access allow it. Your synced account data is not stored only on your device.

In this release, progress photos are saved on the device where you add them. Domane does not upload these photos for cloud backup. Access to the camera or photo library is requested when you use the relevant feature. Device storage does not mean that your operating system excludes every file from its own backup mechanisms.

You can export a photo using your device’s share sheet. Copies saved outside Domane are controlled by the destination you choose and are not removed by deleting the photo or your Domane account.

Signing out does not remove your device’s private progress photos. They stay associated with the same account. Another account cannot view them through Domane.

Sharing is your choice

You can share copies of exercises, saved workouts, routines, and folders using a link. Shared plans exclude your personal workout history, body measurements, and routine progress. Review names, descriptions, instructions, and other content you include before sharing a plan.

Anyone with your link and a Domane account can download and review the shared plan before importing it. Disabling a link prevents future downloads after the change is confirmed. It cannot recall a copy already downloaded for review or imported into another account.

Website and waitlist

The website does not use advertising trackers or a website analytics service. Hosting and security providers may handle technical information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the site.

The waitlist is closed, and Domane is not sending marketing or launch emails. Earlier signups collected an email address, an optional name, consent wording and choice, signup and attempt timestamps, source or campaign information, and limited abuse-prevention evidence. The signup service recorded hashed IP-address and browser signals; hashing does not make those records anonymous. Where a security challenge was used, Cloudflare received information needed to check the request.

Earlier waitlist information was collected to manage beta access and launch communications, understand signup sources, and prevent abuse. Closing signup does not itself erase existing records. Waitlist records are separate from app accounts. Contact hello@domane.ca about access to or removal of an earlier signup.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking. Domane’s app does not use an analytics SDK in this release.

Services that help operate Domane

  • Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide account authentication, app synchronization and cloud infrastructure, website hosting, and waitlist storage.
  • Apple provides Sign in with Apple if you select it.
  • Resend handles account-deletion status emails. Firebase handles account-verification emails.
  • Loops is the email service integrated with the earlier waitlist. Any existing contact records held there are separate from your app account.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile provided bot checks where enabled for earlier waitlist signup. This website no longer loads its signup challenge.
  • Microsoft 365 handles messages you send to Domane’s support inbox.

Information is disclosed to these services as needed for their role. Service-provider processing can occur outside your province or country. Applicable law in those locations may permit access by public authorities. Contact us for questions about service providers and your information.

Deleting your account

Open Profile → Delete account in the app. If your account cannot be restored normally, use the deletion option on the account-recovery screen. An internet connection and recent verification with your sign-in method are required.

The default option gives you seven full days to cancel after the request is accepted. Processing becomes eligible at the first 02:00 UTC batch at or after the end of those seven days. Queuing, retries, or a service interruption can delay processing or completion beyond that time.

Choosing and confirming Delete now skips the waiting period and becomes irreversible when the request is accepted. For scheduled deletion, cancellation remains available until irreversible processing begins.

During the scheduled waiting period, ordinary account access is restricted and device data is preserved. Use the app’s deletion-status screen to refresh the request or cancel while cancellation remains available. A submitted request, an email, or being signed out does not mean deletion has finished.

Email verification is optional and is not required to delete your account. Status emails are sent only to an address verified when the request is accepted. If mail does not arrive, including through Apple’s private relay, check the status in the app.

Account deletion removes the account’s live app data, owned shared-link files and any private uploaded media, the sign-in account, and required Sign in with Apple authorization. It does not remove copies another person has already downloaded or imported.

An offline device cannot confirm that deletion has begun or finished. Its hidden local copy can remain until the device receives verified status or you explicitly remove local app data. Uninstalling removes local app document files; it does not request remote account deletion.

Retention and recovery copies

Account information is kept to provide the service until you remove it through available controls or delete your account. Removing live data is separate from erasing provider recovery copies. Under the current recovery settings, removed cloud files can remain recoverable for seven days, and recent cloud-database document versions are retained for one hour.

Deletion-notification records, including their recipient addresses, become eligible for removal 30 days after each notification is created. Remaining operational email or encrypted provider material associated with a deletion request becomes eligible 30 days after the request is cancelled or completed. Scheduled maintenance performs that removal. Minimal request identifiers, status, and timestamps remain to prevent deleted accounts or old requests from being recreated.

Routine support correspondence becomes due for deletion six months after the issue is resolved and is removed during monthly cleanups. Removal from the support inbox does not guarantee immediate removal of the email provider’s recovery copies.

Google Cloud service logs are retained for 30 days, and required administrative audit logs are retained for 400 days.

Security logs, email-delivery records, and earlier waitlist records are separate from live app account data. They are not automatically removed by the app’s account-deletion process. Contact us about a support conversation or earlier waitlist signup; we will explain any information that needs to be retained for a specific security or legal requirement.

Access, correction, and other choices

Use Profile to review and edit supported account details. You can manage device camera and photo permissions in your device settings. For other access, correction, or deletion requests, contact hello@domane.ca. We may ask for information needed to verify that a request concerns your account.

Do not send your password, sign-in code, authentication token, or unnecessary health information. See Privacy choices for the available controls.

Age and policy changes

Domane requires users to be at least 16 years old. If you believe someone under 16 has provided personal information through an app account, contact us.

Updates to this policy will be published on this page with their effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.

Previous waitlist notice

The previous waitlist notice was marked “Last updated: May 14, 2026.” Its wording is preserved below for reference. The waitlist is now closed, and the historical wording does not authorize new marketing or launch emails.
